10/2/2002 The hell with the web site. Found a bunch of girls, well actually women, from Germany this time. I love Cyprus for its cultural diversity.
10/1/2002 Woke up on the beach this morning no idea how I got there. But that is what I love about Cyprus, I still had my wallet. Nobody stole it!

9/29/2002 Hell of a day today. Found an internet Cafe and almost 30 visits in one day. Almost as good as being on the beach, 95 degrees, topless women, that is Ayia Napa. NO way man!
9/28/2002 Guess what the dam Dutch pricks put a all Europe warning out on me. They flagged my passport in Cyprus. So I had to spend the night detained at the airport.
Luckily I bank in Cyprus showed when they found that out, made a few phone calls, and bingo they let me in. That is what I like about Cyprus, Money still talks.

9/26/2002 Okay, Inktomi, not too bad, need to check out HTML go to HTML errors. Program works good and we had too pages that were full of errors
9/25/2002 Okay, going to pull the trigger on Inktomi, hell of name? Okay, caution caution, is your HTML right? Was going to do the other day but the boys did not want to give up their Vodka money very easily.
9/24/2002 Okay only two more days to go. Visits, well they are averaging about 10 a day. But got to make the move and list on Inktomi. Google will never find us.
9/23/2002 It a great day here, about 10 degrees below freezing, snow on the ground. Time for some R & R in play land. Looking for to the 80 degree temperature change.

Starting to climb the walls here. It is just like PMS, but sets in once you have been here for 3 or 4 weeks. When they start asking you "Do you have PMS or something? I know it is time to get out of here.

Well no one will notice but at first named America Russia News, Russia America News. Then the old light bulb came on why I was in the Gym. Didn't I read the better it is to start your site name with an "A" if possible? Holy, Chernobyl Bug, what a brilliant insight. Of course looking at ODP directory earlier in the day should have made it obvious right? I just got to find a brilliant low cost Russian to do this stuff. It just is too hard on the brain.

Well, well, well, 20 visits on a weekday. Did something right but have no clue what? Okay, I am going to hire back the guy I fired on Monday! Ya, and now it looks like America is not going to invade Iraq. Looks like I had better sell my stock in Kalashnikov, Inc.

Well we launched another page America Russia News. Figured the world needed a different look at the news of the World. It's got bite, a few lies, but hey its ours. How many other people are publishing world class garbage from Siberia? Not final still working on it, but give us time. Look out Onion, National Enquirer, etc.

Okay, you think you are about done, ready to pay to list, right, got your web design right? Then you read what it says in the disclaimer for the listing Inktomi pay service. Check out the FAQS. No guarantee what your placement will be. You can be way below the free guys. So what do you do?
Well optimize the site before wasting the money. If you are a "computer geek" no problem. But for us idiots, makes you want to pound the iron.
So that is what I did. Beat my self to a pulp squatting.
So fried my brain and fried my legs. This is worse than a Vodka hangover.

Web Design, well minor detail actually. Getting listed is the pain. You get a little pissed at people who got in a few years ago when the web was different. Now you almost got to pay to get on. Shit, I think I will fire someone today just for hell of it!

Its freaking lonely here out in Siberia. So when somebody throws you a bone you appreciate it.
Fabian, hell of a name, Java Cooperation, well his game UfoAttacks is the basis for our game. Found his site when I was confused about Java, big time, of course they tell me I am easily confused. Saw the game, sent him(?) an email, and he said okay use it.
He even modified one of the files for us. So a big thanks to Fabian. Hey, visit the site even if you do not want to know about Java. Just give Fabian a thrill that his number of visits jumped.

Okay the brain gets confused. Just realized I am writing dates the rest of the world way. Anyway you buy FrontPage and decide to build a web page. Wrong you need to know some HTML, if you really are going to do it.
Then comes along the killer "JavaScript". Ya, FrontPage does some of that but not much. Just try to figure out a pop up window.

Well they got site counter fixed. Boy I was sweating. AAH dies on the web in less than 3 months? I would never live that down. And just noticed the dam Dutch passport control stamped my passport with a stamp saying no admittance to Netherlands. I got to go back and break a dike some day.

Get a brilliant answer from provider. You can find you stats on the site at this address. The message is written in broken English, where is the server? What country? Is it in a communist country? Is it in Russia?

Is there a rhyme or reason to web site visits? One day 14 the next day one? And what makes a web site stick in somebody's mind? Any ideas pass them on. Don't want to fire anybody just because visits are down.

Google crawled through again. Still not listed by them but there is hope. Got one indirect listing on Google through Discover Russia. It's a start, got to crawl before you can run.

Made it to Russia. Connected to the internet and got an email about being banned from Amsterdam, Holland. Oh well Budapest is better.
