2/3/03 Well missed a few days, well a week actually. Keep out of the Gym and next thing you know I wake up in a Hospital. Seems somebody hit me on the hit with a steel bar. They me. found around 10 AM buried in the snow.
And guys have a sense of humor. They took a picture with just my feet sticking out of the snow. They say they will post them soon.
So spent a week in the hospital with frostbite, hypothermia after affects. A real good time. But I am going to find the guy that hit me. And he will pay!!!
24/2/03 Well a quiet day here, again cold -45 so everyone is more concerned with staying alive and warm more than anything else. They all hope I do not request them to do some worthless job out in the cold because I am pissed.
23/2/03 Well the big boss has quiet down. He assumed I was giving away trade secrets or something over the net? People get a little paranoid here.
22/2/03 Would you believe after one year the big boss discovered the internet? Well actually he discovered the computer on switch and had his secretary find the site on the web.
21/2/03 Well today one of the bosses said he saw the site. Said I am in big trouble for not giving him part of the action. I told him there is no action, nobody has bought anything!
20/2/03 Getting lazy about this stuff. Used to update every day but now every few days. Admit web design, or say monitoring is more boring than I thought.
19/2/03 Can not figure why entry page is mostly gym pictures? It is not most frequent search work but most frequent entry page? Assume some search words are not being tracked?
18/2/03 Web design, still figuring how to drive more visits. But seems to be happening as now ranked higher in google and MSN search engines than Google. So more traffic coming.
17/2/03 Another great day here -40, but that is more or less normally. Besides I work inside not outside.
16/2/03 The web design, well found more Siberia pictures hidden on a web site. The pages took 5 minutes to download and can not be reached from the index page. But found an old link and found them.
15/2/03 Actually got a little pissed off at cafepress. Email after email promote your site for valentines day, ugh
14/2/03 Well Valentine's day. They celebrate it here sort of. Personally I hate the holiday. Normally work around by not having a girlfriend on that day
13/2/03 Will have to think about this one. Want more visits but how to get them for a site with limited repeat visits.
12/2/03 Worktracker says best search word associated with Siberia is Russia. But can we get high in the search engine for Russia?
11/2/03 Optimized the site more for Siberia. Assume Siberia has many more searches than Siberia pictures.
10/2/2003 Visits keep climbing with gym pictures becoming the number one search word. Who would look for gym pictures?
9/2/2003 Just ran the GRSEO. Search for Siberia, well we are over optimized. Density is too high! No idea what that means to google.
8/2/2002 Completely surprised how the visits have jumped. So took a look at search word. Have climbed from about 135 for Siberia up to 34. Still number one for Siberia Pictures. Goal is to make the first page for Siberia, search word. We don't have a strategy for this so will try blind luck Web design.
7/2/2002 Okay just figured something out, switched from dates the North America way to the European way.
6/2/2003 Well I like Siberia Pictures and reindeer also. So added lots more to the web design.. May get hit with a copyright infringement suit but first they got to find us. Hey, we will give them snow or something. Or may be some reindeer to settle a suit? Come and get us!
5/2/2003 Yes a big day today. -40 but the sun finally shone in the office window. Have not seen it for almost 2 months. Never got above the trees. The web design for Siberia Gym where is it headed. Okay Siberia pictures and reindeer for the kids, and your nickname is Siberian American? Actually mom sent me an email and son, I think your strategy is "shit".
4/2/2003 Well good old web design. Still have not sold anything so added product pictures on most pages. Brilliant I must say?
3/2/2003 Well we are on a roll. Our target is 2,000 visits for February. Then remembered only 28 days in February. Will have to get an engineer to calculate what the average visits per day are.
2/2/2003 Guess how many visits 1666. Thought about that and 666 is the "devils" numbers. Figures that it would happen. So far the site has not been taken over by Satan or anything. And well 1666 visits is not bad for a site run from Siberia.
1/31/2003 Another "hot day", -8. Anyway decided to add a sweatshirt from cafeshops. But offered to buy some for some relatives and they said they did not want it.
1/30/2003 Brainstorming with myself since nobody will talk to me. Gets a little lonely sometimes. But I've been here two weeks and starting to raise hell.
1/29/2003 Web design, where to go from here. Visits are up, nobody buying. Okay only a coffee cup!
1/28/2003 Visits are going to hit an all time high. Got mentioned in an MSN chat room, called Normas bright side. How this site got in to that is a mystery. Tried to get to it but disappeared.
1/27/2003 Well mild weather here, -15, sunny clear a beautiful day. Yes at times I love this place.
1/26/2003 The partner site America Russia News went up to almost 100 visits one day. Got mentioned in a forum, as the Russian's Onion. The guys doing the writing for ARN took that as a big compliment.
1/25/2003 Still trying to figure out what our site is. No clue really, so have this highly thought out strategy of just trying to increase visits. And tempted to Spam since being spammed though several different servers where have email addresses.
1/24/2003 Following words of wisdom, web design, in some of the search engine news letters, well it is working. In some obscure categories climbing in the rankings. If you can get on the 1, 2 nd, or 3 rd page well somebody is going to look at you. Obvious top 5 listing would help, but we will take what we get for our kinda site.
1/23/2003 Keep tracking visits and they jumped above 70 per day. It appears got mentioned in chat room and that increased the visits.
1/22/2003 Okay, mom keeps asking. Okay visits are up, but have you made a penny yet? Won't tell her but the answer is no!
1/21/2003 Already broke the 1,000 visits for the Month. This is a big jump. Average visits are 46 to 47 compared to 30 to 31. So it looks like optimizing works. Of course in our category, I am sure nobody is optimizing, so we ain't geniuses, just lucky.
1/20/2003 Things are looking up. Search engine algorithm, well I guess we are doing things right. Visits are going up as moving, yes slowly, up in the search engine listing. Gym pictures is a good example. Another one is Siberia. Up from number 60 to number 30. This should improve, we hope, as visits go up?
1/19/2003 Well, people are finding us with the search word gym pictures. We landed as number 10 in the google search. We were about number 60 before. But as usual have no idea how we moved up. May be we are good at web design?
1/18/ 2003 Well still no results from our consultant. More visits but no sales. So what is the point. Still have not figured out how anybody makes money on the web design, unless you design websites, have a porno or gambling site.
1/17/2003 The visits to the site have kinda gone wild. Up to almost 90 some days. Called in the consultants and they are studying. Our consultant is a drunk Russian who we try to catch on the days he is sober. Smart and when you get him on the right day he is a wiz.
We admit we use him because he is cheap and a lot smarter than me.
1/16/2003 Well back in good old Siberia. Had a good visit with Mom. However, she was not very interested in web design. But she is a cyber grandma, picking up on the computer at the age of 77. Who knows may be we start doing web design.
She was not too thrilled with my Name Siberian American. But explained that I thought it was a compliment. She had a hard time understanding that. She said she did not like being told she is the Mother of An Siberian American.
1/1/2003 Break out the Vodka, I mean Champagne. Went over 1,000 visits for the month. Yahoo! A major milestone for this lousy site.
